\"\"<\/a>The 24th<\/sup> International Hospitality Investment Forum (<\/strong>IHIF<\/strong>) Lifetime Achievement<\/strong> Award was presented to Mr. Stavros Andreadis and Andreas Andreadis<\/strong> at this year’s event, which took place yesterday, Wednesday 17\/5\/2023 in Berlin. This award is a recognition of their innovative work in the development and promotion of the Sani\/Ikos <\/strong> Group<\/strong> in Greece and the Mediterranean and their significant contribution to the restoration of luxury hospitality as a profitable investment idea, which is an example in the history of Greek tourism and internationally.<\/p>\n

The iconic IHF Lifetime Achievement<\/strong> Award is given to leaders who have turned the hospitality industry on its head with their work and left a legacy for future generations. Previous winners have been industry leaders such as David Kong, former CEO of Best Western Hotels & Resorts; Sol Kerzner, founder and former chairman of Kerzner International Holdings Limited; Bill Marriott, chairman emeritus of Marriott International; and Isadore Sharp, founder and chairman of Four Seasons.<\/p>\n

This year’s award ceremony took place during the forum with the central theme “Fortune Favours the Bold” <\/strong>with the participation of more than 2,000 distinguished hospitality professionals, owners and investors. Sani started as a classic family business in Halkidiki in the 1970s. With Stavros Andreadis<\/strong> as Chairman and Andreas Andreadis<\/strong> as CEO, it has evolved into the fastest growing hotel group in the Mediterranean, with privately owned all-inclusive luxury resorts and a pioneering model of vertical operation as owner, developer and operator at the same time, for the first time in the world. In 2015, a group of shareholders and Mathieu Guillemin<\/strong> created the Sani\/Ikos Group and with the support of international investment groups, they led the Group to quadruple its size and assets in seven years. The successful strategy was confirmed during the pandemic period, when the Group showed remarkable resilience and strong financial performance.<\/p>\n

In 2022, Sani\/Ikos Group entered into an agreement with Singapore’s GIC investment fund, a transaction valued at \u20ac2.3 billion, the largest deal in the tourism sector in Europe since the pandemic. Today, the Group has 12 resorts that are model units with significant added value for all stakeholders – the state, the business, the employees, the local communities, the investors – through major investments in building strong brand values, uniqueness, quality, infrastructure, human resources and innovative sustainability programs with international recognition. Stavros Andreadis and Andreas Andreadis – Significant contribution to the promotion of Greek tourism<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stavros Andreadis played an active role in collective bodies of the Hospitality and Tourism Sector and served as President of SETE – Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises – social partner – for eight consecutive years (2001-2008). In 2013, Ernst & Young named him “Greek Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year”. Dr. Andreas Andreadis, has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Federation of Hoteliers and from 2011-2017, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SETE, while he was the initiator of Marketing Greece and INSETE, two non-profit organizations for the official promotion of the Greek travel industry through the cooperation of public and private entities.
