The great moment of Greek motorsport has arrived! The EKO Acropolis Rally in a few hours will be a fact, with the world’s top crews having already completed the identifications of the 15 special stages and are preparing feverishly to meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday 7 September at the pedestrian street of Dionysiou Areopagitou, in order to climb the start ramp.<\/p>\n
Just one hour after the starting ceremony, the green lights for the first race part of the EKO Acropolis Rally will be lit at Water Square, which is ready for this year’s superspeedway and for the spectators who will be in the area.<\/p>\n
In 2021, the beginning was made with “Constitution Square”, the continuation was given with the super spectacle – as it was characterized internationally – of “OAKA” and this year the baton is taken by the EKO Super Special Stage – “Water Square”, which is already ready to welcome its crews in a spectacle with the Greek sea as a background.<\/p>\n
The date has been set for Thursday 7 September, at 7.05 p.m., with the image of Greece travelling to 150 countries around the world!<\/p>\n
The race cars will enter the 1,480 m long track one by one. Route. The EKO Super Special Stage is free to attend at predetermined points along the route, and there are two specially designed stands, which will accommodate a total of more than 6,000 motorsport fans.<\/p>\n
The transformation of the Water Square area into a special route lasted five days and a total of 170 people worked, who laid 5,580 metres of cables, placed 470 floodlights and 450 tonnes of protective parapets, while the area was “dressed” with 6,100 square metres of branding.<\/p>\n
After completing their effort in the EKO Super Special Stage, the crews will head to Loutraki where they will spend the night, ahead of the demanding first day of the EKO Acropolis Rally, on Friday 8 September.<\/p>\n
