The rich and multi-dimensional business, economic and cultural content of 88from<\/sup> TIF-HELEXPO presented today to representatives of the diplomatic corps at an event in the hall of the old Athens Stock Exchange, which was organised jointly with the German Embassy in Greece.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The German participation, which counts more than 100 German exhibitors, is coordinated by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Protection in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, while Leipziger Messe International is responsible for the organisational preparation and presentation of German companies on a 6,000 square metre area at Stand 13. The German participation will be inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, Dr. Robert Habeck, and it was announced that among the surprises will be a concert by a top German band on the outdoor music stage of the TIF on 9 September.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Konstantinos Fragogiannis, to the attendees of the event, an audience consisting of representatives of foreign embassies in Greece, journalists and Greek-German companies.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In fact, referring to Germany, Mr. Fragogiannis stressed that its participation in an impressive pavilion, where it will present innovation in important fields such as education, research, renewable energy, digitalisation and nutrition, will provide valuable information and networking opportunities. He noted that in recent years Germany has not only been one of Greece’s leading trading partners – ranking among the top destinations for Greek exports in 2023 and becoming one of the largest suppliers of Greece – but also one of the main source countries for Foreign Direct Investment in Greece, especially in green development. Finally, he conveyed his conviction that the participation of Germany, a firm friend and strategic ally, as Guest of Honour at the 88th<\/sup> TIF will enhance the extrovert and international nature of the national exhibition organisation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n For his part, the Deputy Minister of Interior (Macedonia and Thrace), Mr. Stathis Konstantinidis, spoke of enthusiasm, satisfaction and impatience for an event that will gather a great deal of interest, while he underlined the broad and high-level delegation of Germany in the context of its participation as a Guest of Honour in the 88th<\/sup> TIF. He expressed his conviction that it will be an occasion for numerous contacts and meetings, which will help in the development of bilateral trade and cooperation, while he estimated that the government will soon announce the redevelopment of the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, opening new horizons not only for the Exhibition, but also for the city and the wider region.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In turn, the German Ambassador to Greece, Mr. Andreas Kindle pointed out: “The huge interest of more than 100 German exhibitors from all 16 German states shows that Greece and Germany are resisting the politically as well as economically turbulent times and shaping the future together. Germany’s participation as Guest of Honour at the 88th TIF offers a first-class opportunity for the two countries to take their bilateral relations in the economic, political, cultural and scientific fields to a new level. Hello Greece, hello Thessaloniki, we look forward to September!”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n <\/p>\n The participation of Germany in the 88th<\/sup> TIF was described as being of strategic interest and historical background by the President of TIF-HELEXPO, Mr. Tasos Tzikas. “We are very happy because Germany, a country that is a friend of Greece and a strategic partner of ours, is coming with a significant number of companies to the 88th<\/sup> TIF and is emphasizing new technologies and energy, areas that are relevant to the future,” he said.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n For his part, the President of the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Vassilios Gounaris, noted that the Chamber is cooperating with all relevant bodies so that Germany’s presence at this year’s TIF exceeds all expectations and, above all, to reflect the dynamics that the concept of “Made in Germany” has in the global economy. “The 88th TIF will be a new opportunity for the two countries, the two economies, to come even closer,” he said and made it known that the Greek-German Chamber of Commerce is planning to organise a series of events during the TIF.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Germany’s participation in the 88th edition of the conference will focus on the fields of logistics and transport, health and medical technology, renewable energy sources, environmental technology, sustainability and disaster prevention, education and research, the digital and data economy, as well as startups.the<\/sup> TIF, as the managing director of TIF-HELEXPO, Mr. Kyriakos Pozrikidis, presenting the content of this year’s event. Mr. Pozrikidis also referred to the thematic specials of the 88th<\/sup> TIF, which will present the most dynamic and important sectors of the Greek economy, from the circular economy and energy to education. He stressed that the TIF will offer a platform for B2B meetings between Greek and foreign companies, as well as exhibitors of the Honoured Country, which will be an ideal platform for networking and business partnerships.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n He also referred to the international character of the event, with the presence of different products, flavours and cultures, but also to its entertaining character with the focus on music events.
