Evia, the second largest island in Greece, was recently discovered by five of the most influential influencers from our neighboring country, as part of a familiarization trip organized by the Greek National Tourism Organization’s (GNTO) Turkey Office in collaboration with the Region of Central Greece. The trip took place from September 26 to September 29, 2024.<\/p>\n

During the trip, the influencers had the opportunity to explore the natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and culinary experiences that Evia has to offer. Their social media posts will help promote Evia as a tourist destination in Turkey, attracting new visitors from Turkey and beyond.<\/p>\n

The goal of the familiarization trip to Evia is to promote Greece’s lesser-known tourist destinations, as part of the GNTO’s communication strategy to highlight special sustainable forms of tourism, such as cultural tourism, gastronomy, and wine tourism.<\/p>\n

The participants of the familiarization trip to Evia traveled by plane from Istanbul to Athens and, accompanied by the Head of the GNTO’s Turkey Office, Dimitra Babali, were transferred from Athens International Airport (AIA) “Eleftherios Venizelos” to Rafina, where they boarded the ferry to Marmari.<\/p>\n

The itinerary of the familiarization trip was as follows:<\/p>\n

A tour by inflatable boat around the southern part of the Euboean Gulf and the island complex of Petalioi.<\/p>\n
