SKY express continues to “spread its wings” to new international destinations, offering even more travel options.<\/h3>\n

The airline further enhances Greece’s connectivity with the Caucasus region by introducing a direct connection between Athens and Armenia’s capital, Yerevan. The inaugural SKY express flight landed at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, greeted warmly by airport officials. The occasion was further honored by the presence of Greece’s Ambassador to Armenia, Mr. Christos Sofianopoulos.<\/p>\n

The new direct route is operated with SKY express’s state-of-the-art Airbus 320neo and Airbus 321neo aircraft, three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays). This strengthens the tourism, business, and cultural ties between the two countries.<\/p>\n

Adding Yerevan to its international network marks a significant step in SKY express\u2019s expansion into dynamic international markets. At the same time, it highlights the strategic importance of the region as a vital hub between Europe and Asia.<\/p>\n

Operating flights to 22 international destinations, SKY express offers travelers seamless journeys with top-tier services and amenities while contributing to the further growth of Greece\u2019s national tourism industry.<\/p>\n

Sergey Avetisyan, General Director of Armenia International Airports CJSC, stated:
\n“Congratulations to SKY express. The launch of another flight to Athens is a valuable addition to the air links between Armenia and Greece. I hope this marks the beginning of a long-term partnership and leads to the opening of more new destinations.”<\/p>\n

On behalf of SKY express, Mr. Gerasimos Skaltsas, the airline\u2019s Commercial Director, said:
\n“We are thrilled to include Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan in SKY express’s international network. The new direct flight to the Armenian capital not only meets the growing demand for travel to Yerevan but also strengthens the ties between the two nations. Through this connection, we aim to further enhance cultural and economic exchanges, inviting Armenian travelers to explore Greece and, via Athens, our extensive domestic network. Our commitment remains the continuous improvement of our services and the travel experience for our passengers.”<\/p>\n

Christos Sofianopoulos, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to Armenia, who was also present at the event, remarked:
\n“We warmly welcome the official launch of the air connection between Yerevan and Athens. We are confident this will bring the two countries even closer and strengthen their bonds. At the same time, it will boost trade opportunities, tourism, and the relations between these already very friendly nations. We hope this connection will encourage more Greeks to visit Armenia as tourists and experience its beauty and growing tourism sector. Furthermore, we can establish Yerevan and Athens airports as hubs for connecting flights to other parts of the world: Europe, Asia, and beyond.”<\/p>\n
