With a spirit of openness and a vision of sustainable growth, the Region of Peloponnese made a strong impression at this year\u2019s World Travel Market London 2025<\/strong>.
At the heart of its presentation was the Peloponnese Trails<\/strong> project \u2014 an integrated network of more than 2,000 kilometres of hiking routes<\/strong>, designed to connect mountains, coastlines, villages and authentic experiences into a vibrant mosaic of Greek nature and culture.<\/p>\n

A new strategy for thematic tourism<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Deputy Regional Governor of Tourism of the Peloponnese, Thanos Micheloggonas<\/strong>, presented the initiative as the foundation of a new strategy \u2014 one that blends authenticity with global competitiveness:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Peloponnese is not just a place. It\u2019s an experience you can walk through.
Every path tells a story, every step is a chance to rediscover Greece as it once was \u2014 and as it can become again.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Peloponnese Trails<\/strong> embrace the philosophy of slow journeys<\/em>: travels where time takes on a human rhythm.
The routes weave together natural landscapes, archaeological sites, local communities, traditional taverns and small artisan workshops. Through digital mapping and the participation of social enterprises, the network takes on a sustainable and community-driven character.<\/p>\n

International partnership with the ATTA<\/strong><\/h2>\n

During WTM London 2025<\/strong>, the Region announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding<\/strong> with the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA)<\/strong> \u2014 a strategic collaboration that opens new paths for networking, training and global visibility in adventure and nature-based tourism.<\/p>\n

A region that stands out<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The presentation in London coincided with an important recognition: the Region of Peloponnese<\/strong> was named Best Greek Hospitality Region 2025<\/strong> at the Greek Hospitality Awards<\/strong>, affirming its steady progress toward a higher-quality, more experience-driven tourism model.<\/p>\n
