Now in its 14th year, Aman’s acropolis-inspired retreat continues its local connection through Life Cycles, a summer art exhibition presented in collaboration with Zoumboulakis Galleries. Marking a significant milestone for both partners, the exhibition will see an intergenerational group of leading Greek female artists exhibit their works throughout the resort from 22 May – 31 October 2026.Designed to enrich the guest experience, Life Cycles will integrate across Amanzoe’s defining spaces with sculpture installations by four acclaimed artists: Marina Karella, Alexandra Athanassiades, Nikomachi Karakostanoglou and Despina Flessa. A rare collaboration, the quartet present together for the first time, forming a compelling exchange. Their works explore expressions of continuity and evolution, creating a powerful narrative set to merge seamlessly with Amanzoe’s timeless yet contemporary aesthetic.

In the peaceful Library and on its adjoining terrace, influential Greek painter and sculptor, Marina Karella, will showcase a series of sculptures that represent light, shadow and drapery – enduring symbols of the Grecian aesthetic. Her process, one that spans decades of international recognition, reflects on the ephemeral and the metaphysical, with works such as The Gold Cloth and Hibiscus holding both classical references and a distinctive postmodern sensibility. Across the lavender garden, sculptures from Alexandra Athanassiades’ Armour and Horses series will punctuate the softness of the surrounding pastoral landscape. Known for her hand-hammered forms, Athanassiades examines the interplay between inner identity and outward expression, with layered compositions evoking the passage of time and the notion of resilience. Meanwhile on the poolside terrace, Nikomachi Karakostanoglou’s luminous marble works, Sacred Vessels, draw inspiration from ancient votive forms, with her intuitive, experimental process inviting tactile engagement on the themes of memory and regeneration, and the enduring relationship between material and light.

Furthering the exhibition’s exploration of time and trace, Despina Flessa will showcase aluminium sculptures from her Fossils and Shades collection, placed in the Library, alongside a curated edit of sculptural drawings in graphite, Folding Landscapes. Rooted in archaeology and imagination, Flessa’s works are inspired by the shifting nature of presence and absence, offering poetic reflections on what is preserved, rediscovered and reimagined across generations.

Designed by renowned architect, Ed Tuttle, Amanzoe’s colonnaded walkways, serene courtyards and panoramic gardens provide a natural setting for art, nature and design to converge. The resort’s name – derived from the Sanskrit word for ‘peace’ and the Greek word zoe, meaning ‘life’ – further reflects the philosophy of the Life Cycles exhibition, a collaboration that naturally aligns with Aman’s ethos of offering guests a deeper connection with the destination’s heritage and spirit. Alongside the exhibition, a considered programme of exclusive activations will invite guests to encounter art as part of their lived experience, rather than within a traditional gallery setting. From private ‘Meet the Artist’ sessions to guided tours, experiences will invite deeper discovery, placing guests at the heart of the Greek art community. Alternatively, guests can encounter Life Cycles organically while exploring the property with non-resident visitors able to enjoy the exhibition by reserving a table at Amanzoe’s dining venues, including Nura at the Beach Club and Akari, the resort’s signature poolside Japanese restaurant. All artworks are also available for purchase directly with Zoumboulakis Galleries, or via a dedicated Amanzoe team member.

A multi-generational dialogue between leading Greek female artists 12 May 2026 – On the east coast of the beach-fringed Peloponnese, Amanzoe has long welcomed guests to discover a region that has been at the heart of Greek culture for millennia.
