The Mazda3 was introduced in 2003, replacing the 323, and soon became a global commercial success, being launched on its first day in the United States, Europe and Australia, with Canada and China following a few years later.<\/p>\n

The fourth-generation Mazda3 was unveiled in November 2018 at the Los Angeles Auto Show and helped make the trio Mazda’s fastest-selling vehicle, with cumulative sales in January 2019 of more than 6 million units.<\/p>\n

The next-generation mid-size model joins Mazda’s list of award-winning models designed with the Kodo philosophy: the philosophy of the soul of motion.<\/p>\n

This is immediately apparent, as the Mazda3’s design approach is clear at first glance. Sharp edges at the front, with striking headlamps, combined with a sporty silhouette and a “clean” rear end with a muscular character are key features of the Japanese hatchback.\"\"<\/p>\n

Inside, though, the Mazda3 has its own distinct character, with a dashboard that exudes dynamism and an eye-catching instrument panel. The sizable centre console helps create a “coupe” feel, as it reaches all the way up, creating a… a la MX-5 atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Full of technology<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Mazda3 feels in its natural environment whether accelerating, cornering or braking, while filtering out every bump in the road before it reaches the occupants. The driving position is also in perfect alignment with the driver. The new seat, for example, keeps the pelvis upright by following the natural movement of the body to help reduce fatigue.<\/p>\n

In fact, it scored impressive results in all 4 Euro NCAP test categories, achieving a high level of protection for adult passengers, child passengers, vulnerable road users (pedestrian safety) and significantly advanced safety assistance systems.<\/p>\n

This is attributed to three main factors: The adoption of the latest generation of the car’s Skyactiv design architecture, with a key feature of a lightweight body that is both highly rigid and collision-absorbing, and the further expanded and advanced i-Activsense safety technologies that help the driver identify and avoid potential hazards.\"\"<\/p>\n

Mazda3 is equipped with three newly developed active safety systems: driver monitoring, forward cross-traffic alert and traffic jam assist. In addition, a number of existing active safety systems are now available, which have either been upgraded or are already available and integrated into the new model.<\/p>\n

In addition to all the active safety systems in a car, when an accident occurs, it is the passive safety measures that will protect passengers and pedestrians from injury. Thanks to improvements ranging from the upgrading of the body structure to the sophisticated seat design, Mazda3 marks a significant evolution in passive safety.<\/p>\n

Speaking of seating, the Mazda3 can comfortably seat five people inside, with the 258-litre luggage compartment having a standard shape and can be increased to 1,026 litres with the rear seat folded down.<\/p>\n

Driving the Mazda3 on the roads of the Greek capital, we had the opportunity to see its virtues. The suspension, perfectly refined, absorbs all the irregularities of the road surface, while the two-litre e-Skyactiv X engine with 186 hp at 6,000 rpm. and 240 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm comes to remind us that happiness is not only… turbocharged.<\/p>\n

On the contrary, thanks to its smooth operation and cooperation with the “six-speed” gearbox and the mild hybrid system with the 24-volt battery, it accelerates the 1.3-tonne body from standstill to 100 kilometres in 8.1 seconds, giving it a top speed of 216 kilometres per hour!
