Become a Volunteer! Live with us the experience of “Perra from the Borders”! The volunteers of the Festival contribute substantially to its implementation by offering daily support to the organizing team, participating in the program, taking part in events, seminars and planned activities. All you need is time and your good mood.
The Hellenic Foundation for Historical Studies organizes for the 7th consecutive year the International Documentary Festival “Perra from the Borders”, from 21-28 August 2022, with the aim of making Kastellorizo a meeting point for documentary filmmakers from Greece and abroad. Every year during the last week of August, in the framework of the “Perra from the Borders” Festival, Castellorizo hosts screenings of historical and socio-political documentaries, as well as various cultural activities.
The 7th Festival has been put, for yet another year, under the auspices of the A.E. of the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou. 12 Greek and 12 foreign documentary films qualify to compete in the Festival, while the prizes are awarded with the kind sponsorship of the Hellenic Parliament.
The volunteers who will be selected will stay 10 days on the island, will assist with their work in the Festival’s activities and will have the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. The tasks of the volunteers include, among others: stage assistants, translations, presentations, supervision of parallel activities (e.g. photography exhibition) and coordination of activities for children, etc.

Expenses covered by the Festival: ferry/air tickets from Athens to Kastellorizo (and return), accommodation for 10 days, 2 meals per day for the duration of the Festival.
All other costs are the sole responsibility of the person concerned.

Expression of interest:
Herewith, the Festival addresses a Call for Interest to interested persons aged 20 to 60 years old who wish to volunteer during the preparation and implementation of the 7th International Documentary Festival of Castellorizo and invites the candidates to send their CV and a short letter of motivation from 01/12/2021 to 01/01/2022 to the following address: info@idisme.gr.
