In an era of uncertainty, transformation, and global shift, travel continues to be a compass — not only across geographies, but toward the essential self. 

This year’s GRtraveller issue for ITB Berlin 2026 unfolds across three thematic pillars: Love, Legacy, Latitude. Each section is a curated lens through which to view Greece not only as a destination, but as a living, breathing framework for wellbeing, belonging, and continuity. 

From infrastructure developments and wellness innovation to wedding rituals, elopements, and reunions, we explore the spectrum of emotional, institutional, and cultural infrastructure that supports regenerative travel. Through interviews with ministers, field leaders, and creative voices, we map a new travel cartography — one that celebrates intimacy, care, investment, and purpose. 

Our cover story, featuring the luminous artist Maria Filopoulou, honors a timeless icon of Greek painting whose work has shaped the visual language of water, emotion, and inner motion. Her artistic vision echoes the themes of this issue: depth, tenderness, fluidity. 

This edition is not simply a showcase of destinations and experiences. 

It is a gesture of invitation — toward connection, toward sustainability, toward a new grammar of hospitality.
