Meeting with the Cypriot crews of the EKO Rally Acropolis 2023

The Minister of State for Tourism, Mr. Costas Koumis, in the presence of members of the
Ministry of Tourism, held a meeting yesterday at the Headquarters of the
of the Ministry of State with the five Cypriot crews that will participate in the
EKO Acropolis Rally 2023, also known as the “Rally of the Gods”. The five
Cypriot crews are:

1. Mr. Petros Pantelis, with Mr. Pambo Lao
2. Mr. Chrysostomos Pantelis, with Mr. Thomas Theophanous
3. Mr. Louis Papageorgiou, with Mr. Vassilis Kougias
4. Mr. Dimitris Parelis, with Mr. Andrew Nestoros
5. Mr. Alexandros Tsouloftas, with Mr. Stelios Ilias

The Deputy Minister said that it is an honour for Cyprus to be represented by
five appearances in that race. This was followed by a discussion on the history of the
sport, the numerous distinctions of Cypriot athletes abroad and the
the importance of sports tourism in general. Then the Deputy Minister of State
delivered to each crew material for the promotion of Cyprus in the event
and wished him good luck.
