From 20 to 27 October 2024, the 3rd residency programme will take place in Agios Nikolaos, Crete.) of the C. & Α. Mamidakis. Πρόκειται για μία εντατική, συλλογική εβδομάδα εργαστηρίων, συζητήσεων και επιτόπιας έρευνας. Φέρνοντας κοντά επαγγελματίες από τον χώρο του πολιτισμού, στόχος του προγράμματος είναι να δημιουργήσει μια νέα πλατφόρμα για συλλογική μάθηση, συζήτηση και πειραματισμό, να θέσει νέους και δυναμικούς πυρήνες πολιτισμού και να αναπτύξει δίκτυα συνέργειας και συνεργασίας. Φέτος, κατόπιν ανοικτής πρόσκλησης, θα συμμετέχουν 8 Έλληνες ερευνητές και επαγγελματίες του πολιτισμού από διάφορους τομείς που θα συνεργαστούν με καταξιωμένους εισηγητές από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Το πρόγραμμα κορυφώνεται με ένα συλλογικό πρότζεκτ που επιμελούνται οι fellows, το οποίο θα παρουσιαστεί το καλοκαίρι 2025.

Το C. & Α. Mamidakis is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and promote contemporary art and culture – including through the institution of the Art Prize -, the transmission of knowledge and the support of perpetual education. With the creation of the residency in 2022, it took another step forward, offering Greek cultural professionals more opportunities for mobility and coexistence.

From 2023 the residency programme continues under the umbrella of CARE ECOLOGIES, a multifaceted interdisciplinary project co-funded by Creative Europe in collaboration with five institutions and foundations from Greece, Spain and Croatia, which highlights different aspects of care, the promotion of contemporary art and fosters a solid relationship between contemporary artistic practices and social space. 2024 focuses on themes such as culture, ecologies, environmental responsibility, post-development theory, ethnographic methods and observation, knowledge extraction and the intersection between the Anthropocene Age and the social history of AI.
