5+1 exotic beaches… How far would you travel to enjoy them?

Do you dream of exotic places, fine sandy beaches, turquoise crystal clear waters, clusters of palm trees or green rocks hugging the sea? How far would you go to indulge in their relaxing and rejuvenating beauty? Hawaii, Bali, St. Dominic or maybe the Maldives?

Maybe you won’t have to go that far! Because Greece has it all!

Vai (Lasithi)

The most famous exotic beach of Greece is located 25 km from Sitia. The setting is reminiscent of a tropical coast with a forest of palm trees, golden sand and turquoise waters. Vi or Hawaii?

Lihadonisia (Evia)

Green, small emeralds scattered in the sea of North Evian, the seven islets of Lichada, compose a unique exotic landscape that even the Bahamas would envy! Take the boat from Kavos or Kamena Vourla to Monolia, the largest of the islands, with its homonymous organized beach. Relax in its warm and shallow waters, lie on the golden sand and explore its seabed. At the bottom of the idyllic island complex lies the rare wreck of the German cement ship Pioneer 1, from World War II.

Saliara (Thassos)

Small white pebbles and white sand make up the enchanting, exotic beach of Thassos with its deep blue waters, reminiscent of the Caribbean. At a short distance from the port of Thassos, just 6 km, the “marble beach”, as they call it, thanks to the old quarry on its upper side, emerges white from the pine-covered hills. Access is quite passable by car, even when the asphalt ends in a dirt road. Alternatively, you can hop on an excursion boat to enjoy all of the island’s magnificent beaches!

Simos (Elafonisos)

The twin beaches, Simos and Sarakiniko, stretch to the south of Elafonisos, with a strip of fine golden sand separating them and clear blue waters embracing them. Follow the paved road from Chora of Elafonisos and in just 4.5 km, the “twin” exotic beauty will spread before you, between the dunes and the unique cedar forest.

Apella (Karpathos)

One of the most enchanting exotic beaches of Greece is located in Karpathos. White sand, small pebbles, crystal clear deep waters, pine trees that stretch their shade to the sea. However you choose to reach Apella, either by car or by boat, don’t forget to take a mask and snorkel with you to dive in its clear waters.

Seychelles (Ikaria)

Exotic, like its name. With turquoise waters, fine pebbles, white sand and huge rocks surrounding it. A unique experience for those who have the stamina to approach it from land by descending a narrow, rough path and from the sea with the boat leaving you before you step ashore. The idyllic landscape, the underwater caves and the dreamy sunset will do you justice.
