Astir Marina Vouliagmeni and Yacht Club de Monaco: New Era of Cooperation

 

Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of obtaining the “La Belle Classe Destinations by YCM” certification

 

Astir Marina Vouliagmeni and the Yacht Club de Monaco have strengthened their collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU),    aiming to obtain the “La Belle Classe Destinations by YCM” certification. This certification sets a standard of excellence regarding the quality of facilities, services, and events offered, creating a network that promotes the development of sustainable yachting on an international level.

As part of this cooperation, Astir Palace representatives had the opportunity to meet with Prince Albert II of Monaco, who is closely monitoring the project from an environmental perspective.
During their stay in the Principality, Penny Zaglaridou, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of Astir Palace Vouliagmeni, and Konstantinos Mitsios, Development Director, held a working meeting with Bernard d’Alessandri, Secretary General of the Yacht Club de Monaco, and Aleco Keusseoglou, President of the Port of Monaco, to discuss the design of the new Astir Yacht Club.
Konstantinos Mitsios presented the architectural plans of the future Astir Yacht Club and stated: ” This partnership marks a new chapter for Astir Marina and the yachting industry in Greece.
Our goal is to offer services that meet the highest international standards, while ensuring sustainability and respect for the natural environment of the Athenian Riviera.
Our valuable ally in this journey is the Mayor of Vari – Voula Vouliagmeni, Mr.Grigoris Konstantellos, who from the first day decisively supported this project, in order to make the
Astir Marina a reference point for tourism in our country.

This partnership is part of Astir Palace’s ongoing strategy to capitalise on Monaco’s expertise in the yachting sector.
Since 2019, when Astir Marina’s ambitious upgrade project was launched to provide top quality services, the marina has established itself as a benchmark for high-end projects.
Astir Marina works closely with the Société d’Exploitation des Ports de Monaco (SEPM), covering aspects relating to infrastructure planning, technical and environmental issues, as well as the implementation of best practices.
Astir Yacht Club is expected to open its gates in 2026, becoming a meeting point for sea and yachting enthusiasts, creating a new community of marine activities on the Athenian Riviera.
