The Secretary General of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO), Mr. Andreas Fiorentinos, visited Paris and the International Tourism Exhibition IFTM – Top Resa 2024 (September 17-19, 2024), representing Greece and the GNTO.
France is the third most important tourism market worldwide for Greece in terms of tourist flows and is showing an upward trend for 2024, both in arrivals and in tourism revenue, according to estimates from French travel agents.
In this context, the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) is once again participating in the international tourism exhibition in Paris, with an elegant pavilion and an expanded presence of 23 co-exhibitors, including regions, municipalities, travel agencies, DMCs, and more. A total of 1,500 exhibitors from 180 destinations are participating in the IFTM – Top Resa 2024.

The Secretary General of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) attended the opening of the exhibition, met with the Greek Ambassador to France, Mr. Dimitrios Zevelakis, and held a series of meetings with key stakeholders in the French tourism market, including airlines, tour operators, and travel agents.
Specifically, Mr. Andreas Fiorentinos, accompanied by the Director of Tourism Promotion of GNTO, Mrs. Eleni Mitraki, and the Director of GNTO’s Office in France, Mrs. Emy Anagnostopoulou, met with senior executives from Air France, Transavia, Thalasso N°1, Voyage Privé, FRAM, Voyages Héliades, NG Travel, Easyjet Holidays, Last Minute, and Havas Voyages, to evaluate the current season so far and the bookings until the end of the year.

The Secretary General of the EOT emphasized to his high-level interlocutors the importance of the French market for Greek tourism, analyzed the strategy and the priority axes for GNTO and the Ministry of Tourism, based on the central goals recently set by the Prime Minister, stressed the necessity of promoting and showcasing new Greek destinations both on the mainland and the islands throughout the year. He also explored the possibility of training the sales staff of the major French travel agents on the Greek tourism product.
