ANNUAL STAFF EVENT PHĀEA TOGETHER ANNUAL MEETING

PHĀEA organised with great success for the second consecutive year, the annual event for its employees, on 26 March 2024. The event was held again this year at the Cultural Conference Centre of Heraklion in Crete.

The purpose of the event was to inform the staff about the season that starts but mainly the company’s growth plan for the next 3 years, as well as the coherent transformation work of Phāea.

The event was opened by Mrs. Kostanja Smpokou, President and Agapi Smpokou, CEO, welcoming all the partners with a brief update on the company’s progress. Together with Haris Siabanis, Chief Development Officer, they presented for the first time to all the partners, the company’s expansion plans to new destinations, both within and outside Crete, as well as the progress of the major transformation projects of Phāea, at every level of operation, product, human resources and brand.

This was followed by interesting presentations by the company’s executives on the new corporate identity of Phāea, which is inspired by authentic Greece and gives priority to high quality, personal care and detail. Continuing, the design of new processes and their uniform systematization for the whole company was presented.

Particular emphasis was placed on the processes and tools of the People Department where Maria Krei, Chief People Officer, presented together with her colleagues a comprehensive program of actions that aim to enhance and facilitate the employee journey of employees within Phāea. In addition, an internal digital platform, designed exclusively for employees, with the aim of facilitating the flow of information within the company and making the everyday working life of employees easier.

For the first year, a group activity was organized, with the participation of all the partners, with the main objective of understanding the working principles presented and strengthening the PHĀEA Team. The activity was very well received and employees participated with a positive and creative attitude.

The event concluded with two extremely important announcements by George Mouratiadis, Chief Financial Officer of the company, which confirm in a practical way the company’s commitment to its people, driven by generosity, integrity and respect.

The first one is the company’s commitment to retain all the staff of the Blue Palace hotel, despite the fact that the 251-room hotel will operate as a boutique hotel, the Phāea Blue Palace with 47 rooms, starting this year.

The second announcement relates to the important decision of the Management to activate an extensive private health insurance program (hospital and outpatient care), which applies to all employees of the company.

PHĀEA is inspired by their deep desire to create stories of a truer, more timeless Greece. They place great importance on the development of their people, walking with them on a path of learning and evolution, where every day is an opportunity to discover new skills, embrace new experiences and take another step towards embodying PHĀEA’s vision of a hospitality full of respect and generosity.
