Admire the artificial lake of Pournari, created by the construction of the hydroelectric dam of the same name.

The Epirus music tradition and dances are still alive in the mountain villages, such as in Theodoriana.

INFO The historic four-arched bridge of Arta on the river Arachthos is perhaps the most famous attraction of the region. Legend has it that in order to become established, the wife of the master builder had to be sacrificed. Another version, however, claims that the bridge was built at the behest of the Turks and that the craftsmen who built it during the day were tearing it down at night to prevent the Turkish army from passing. But the Turks found out and arrested the master builder and his wife and killed them as an example.
