Interview with the Minister of Tourism Mr. Harry Theocharis in ITV News

“All British people, whether vaccinated or not, will be able to travel to Greece for their summer holidays. For those who have been vaccinated and have the relevant certificate, no quarantine period or negative COVID-19 test will be required prior to the flight”, underlined Minister of Tourism Mr. Harris Theocharis, speaking to Britain’s largest private television station, ITV News.

At the same time, he expressed his conviction that “both the vaccinations and the continuous Rapid Tests and PCR Tests will be able to significantly differentiate the situation compared to last year and restore normality”.

With regard to Great Britain, the Minister of Tourism pointed out that “contacts between the two governments are ongoing in order to settle the issue in the best possible way”.

In the same context, Mr. Theocharis added that “the Greek government, from the day of the start of the vaccination programme, has chosen to use all digital means and citizens who have received both required doses of the vaccine can already proceed to the issuance of the relevant form”.

At the same time, he expressed his confidence that the UK would automate the process to the same extent and concluded by saying: “We look forward to providing visitors with an even better and safer experience than last year.”
