Mitsis Group, Greece’s largest privately-owned hotel chain, is expanding its presence in Chalkidiki by assuming management of the 4-star beachfront hotel, Alexander the Great, through a management agreement Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), one of the leading owners of resort hotels in Southern Europe, owned by funds managed by Blackstone and GIC. The hotel, perched on a lush hillside 80 meters above Kassandra’s finest beach in Kryopigi, adds to Mitsis Group’s growing portfolio. This management contract marks the Group’s sixth such agreement in the past two years, following recent partnerships in Corfu, Crete, Santorini and Chalkidiki.
The hotel will operate as an all-inclusive resort in 2025. Spread across a coastal area of 34 acres, the hotel features a total capacity of 208 rooms. Its beachfront spans nearly 2 kilometres of natural beauty, with sandy shores and turquoise waters. Among its facilities are two restaurants, three bars, a communal pool, a tennis court, a children’s playground, and a mini market. The hotel is about a one-hour drive from Thessaloniki International Airport ‘Makedonia,’ while Kallithea’s cosmopolitan area is just 1 kilometre away.
The asset will be repositioned into a family-oriented all-inclusive luxury resort. Furthermore, Mitsis Group will leverage its advanced Hotel Operation Management services and digital infrastructure to ensure the highest operational efficiency, aligned with the industry’s latest standards and procedures.
“This long-term agreement marks a strategic milestone in our growth, allowing us to extend the quality and innovation of our services to a wider audience and new destinations across Greece, while further reinforcing our brand’s presence in the Greek hospitality industry”, stated Stavros Mitsis, Managing Director of Mitsis Group.
