On the occasion of this year’s August Full Moon, the Acropolis Museum will give visitors the opportunity to enjoy the exhibits of the Museum with the following programme:
Saturday 21 August 2021
On Saturday 21 August 2021 the exhibition spaces will remain open from 8 am to 8 pm with free admission for all, in the framework of the Museum’s participation in the “21” Action of the “Greece 2021” Committee. The restaurant on the second floor of the Museum will be open until 12 midnight and visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the moon on the balcony, where an evening meal or drink will be served. Sunday 22 August 2021
On Sunday 22 August 2021 the Museum’s exhibition spaces will remain open from 8 in the morning to 10 in the evening. The restaurant on the second floor will be open during the same hours. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the presentation entitled “Afternoons at the Acropolis Museum“, where they will get to know the fascinating stories hidden in the treasures of the collections with the Museum’s archaeologists:
English: 6 p.m. (2 simultaneous presentations)
Greek: 8 p.m. (2 simultaneous presentations)
Duration: 60 minutes
Participation:Registration is done on the day of the presentation at the Museum Information Desk. Up to 10 visitors per presentation. There is a first come, first served basis.
Health protection measures: The use of a protective mask (not provided by the Museum) and a personal whisper hearing device (provided by the Museum) is mandatory.
Cost of participation: A general admission ticket (10 euros) is required.
