The Acropolis Museum is organising a programme for the whole family on Saturday 23/9 and Sunday 24/9, in the framework of the celebration of the European Heritage Days 2023.
The Acropolis Museum participates in the celebration with the family programme “
Searching for today in stories of yesterday
“. The programme is in line with this year’s European theme “Cultural Heritage and Tradition. Testimonies of Yesterday in Today“.
Guided by the fictional diary of Phidios, a young Athenian of the 5th century BC, children approach the Museum’s exhibits with a different perspective. They listen to stories from antiquity, explore myths, learn about ancient customs, needs and beliefs and connect them to the present day. In the end, they fill their own “time capsule” with everything they would like to preserve for future generations.
