The registration for participation in the 6th Youth Idea Competition “Idea Platform” by CapsuleT Travel and Hospitality Accelerator is now open, from today until Monday, March 24, 2025. CapsuleT is the only accelerator in Greece focusing exclusively on the substantial support of technological startups in the tourism sector.
Anyone wishing to see their tourism idea flourish and transform into a modern technology startup with the support of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and experienced industry professionals should apply for the 6th Youth Idea Competition “Idea Platform.”
CapsuleT is seeking young individuals with innovative ideas that can solve practical problems in the tourism industry using technology.
The accelerator, with a focus on promoting innovation and upgrading Greece’s tourism product, invites teams to compete for a place in the program. If selected, they will have the opportunity to work intensively with industry experts on their ideas. The 12-day competition program is packed with workshops, mentoring sessions, and talks from industry experts, including recognized startup founders and executives from major organizations and companies operating in the tourism sector. The ultimate goal is to guide these emerging teams, support the further development of their ideas, and help transform them into a startup business.
Who can participate?
The Idea Platform is aimed at young people, students, graduates, postgraduate or doctoral students, new unemployed professionals, and early-stage startups with a technological and business background. The goal for participating teams is to submit business proposals that can solve practical problems in tourism using technology, focusing on the categories and sectors of the competition.
CapsuleT is looking for ideas that can evolve into startups with a positive impact on the digital transformation of the Greek tourism industry. Additionally, the 3 winners of the competition will have the opportunity to advance directly into the 8th Cycle of the Acceleration Program to further develop their business activities.
More specifically, eligible candidates must be:
- Teams (at least 2 members) with an innovative business idea for the tourism sector that requires technology for its implementation.
- Team members must be aged between 18 and 35, and graduates or postgraduate students in fields such as Natural Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, Tourism Management, etc.
- Applicants must be Greek citizens or residents of Greece.
- Participating teams must not have received any other funding except for a first round of funding from friends and family (not exceeding €50,000).
- In case they have already established a company, the establishment date must be less than 6 months prior to the application submission date.
Teams participate with ideas for applications or products/services related to the goals and thematic areas of the Idea Platform, such as:
- a) Applications for the hotel and catering tourism sector
- b) Applications for tourism transportation
- c) Booking engines and online travel agencies
- d) Applications for tourist and cultural activities, tours, and events
- e) Products and solutions for airports, maritime tourism, and marinas
- f) Sustainability applications and solutions
- g) Specialized communication and promotional solutions
- h) Products/services and applications for the broader tourism sector, such as fintech solutions.
Program Structure
It is important to note that the 6th Idea Platform will last for 12 days and take place from March 31, 2025, to May 6, 2025, with the Closing Ceremony and Award Presentation scheduled for May 6, 2025.
The Idea Platform will include free educational seminars (workshops), talks, and advisory guidance (the program will take place during afternoon/evening hours).
For teams to successfully complete the program and participate in the Closing Ceremony (competitive part—presentations) on May 6, 2025, at least one team member must attend and participate throughout the entire program.

Please note that applications must be submitted in Greek. The program will also be conducted in Greek, with frequent use of English terminology.
Important note: The submitted applications will be evaluated by the Organizing Committee of the accelerator throughout the application period, and those that meet the criteria will immediately secure their participation in the program. Therefore, applicants are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible to ensure their place in the program.
