Amendment of the Ministry of Interior resolves a number of critical issues for the smooth operation of local authorities.

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Makis Voridis and An. Minister of Interior Stelios Petsas, in the context of the immediate and crucial resolution of the issues that have arisen due to the pandemic of coronavirus, submitted an amendment regulating a number of critical issues for the smooth operation of Local Authorities.

With this amendment, which has been included in the draft law of the Ministry of Digital Governance to be passed, entitled: “Modernization of the Hellenic Cadastre, new digital services and strengthening of digital governance”, are settled:

  • The issue of how to cover the salary costs of cleaning staff in schools, second chance schools (S.D.E.) and public vocational training institutes (P.V.I.T.I.K.).
  • The issue of extending the validity of the approval decisions of the Act of the Council of Ministers No.33/2006, which expire or expired in July, which regulates issues of staffing of local authorities and their legal entities with temporary staff of critical specialties.
  • The issue of the duration of the I.D.O.H. contracts of the staff employed in the “Reconciliation of family and professional life” action for the smooth implementation of the programme.
  • The issue of extending the existing student transportation contracts for the 2021-2022 school year.
  • The issue of the extension of the contracts of I.D.O.H. staff of the local authorities of the first and second degree to address the urgent needs caused by the pandemic.
  • The issue of the suspension of the withholding of loan instalments of the local authorities from the Deposits and Loans Fund for five months.
  • The issue of extending the deadlines for the licensing of municipal kindergartens until 31/12/2021.
