Your future awaits you today

For the third consecutive year, Project Future, Piraeus Bank’s corporate responsibility programme, supports the country’s young people and “opens” the labour market for young graduates.

In cooperation with ReGeneration, the largest training and paid employment programme in Greece, Piraeus Bank, through Project Future, seeks to bridge the gap between higher education and the labour market, providing young graduates with skills that are useful to find the job that suits them.

Since 2018, Piraeus Bank has been consistently implementing Project Future in October and March each year, adapting it to the needs of the labour market, supporting Greek society and economy.

The programme is aimed at young graduates up to 29 years old with no or up to three years of work experience. Their application is examined in terms of the formal criteria, age, work experience, involvement in non-academic activities, and then candidates are assessed in two stages:

  • Stage 1: psychometric test of skills and personality in the form of gamification
  • 2nd stage: evaluation of the candidates (Live Assessment Centre) through interviews with senior and top executives of the Greek market (HR, Line Managers, CEOs)

Young people who successfully complete the evaluation stages of Project Future start their training, which consists of two parts:

During the first part, participants attend a three-day training, which aims to develop their personal and professional skills. In the second part, participants attend specialized training in key areas that fully meet the current market requirements, such as JAVA, JavaScript, Digital Marketing, Customer Experience, Sales Excellence, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, .NET, Project Management (with Agile Specialization), Business Intelligence & Analytics and Front-End Web Development. The training lasts 60-120 hours.

After completing the training, the CVs of the participants are posted on the ReGeneration platform and remain available to the 600 partner companies for one year, with the aim of absorbing them into jobs with a minimum six-month contract and a minimum salary of €750 gross.

Google, Facebook, Code.Hub, BCA College, the Society of Senior Business Executives (SSE), the University of Crete and the Association of Enterprises and Industries (SEV) are valuable partners of Piraeus Bank for the successful implementation of the programme.

Piraeus Bank’s goal through the innovative Project Future programme is:

  • Make young people even more competitive in the labour market by offering them specialised training in cutting-edge sectors
  • To meet the need for businesses to find talented young people who will add value to their workforce.
  • Make a substantial contribution to fighting unemployment and strengthening education.

Piraeus Bank has already carried out 4 cycles of Project Future and during this period:

  • 2,041 participants trained through Project Future
    & ReGeneration,
  • 691 of them attended one of Project Future’s specialised trainings,
  • 970 young people trained by Project Future and the
ReGeneration have already found a place in the Greek labour market, while the recruitment process is still ongoing.

In each training cycle, the Bank, together with ReGeneration, investigates the needs of the market at a local level, in major cities in Greece and designs, in cooperation with recognised educational institutions, specialised training programmes, which are adapted primarily based on the needs of the market, as they are formed each time, but also on the feedback received from the trainees.

The next, 5th cycle of the program, like the previous one, will be adapted to the data of the time and will be conducted, through digital means, in October, giving the opportunity to the young people of our country to specialize in innovative pillars: digital marketing, Project Management (with Agile Specialization), Business Intelligence & Analytics, Front-End Web Development with Angular and JAVA.

Registration at www.projectfuture.gr starts in early October.
