SKY express expands its network with direct flights between Athens and Amsterdam, strengthening its presence in Europe

SKY express, continuing its dynamic expansion of its international network, proudly announces the launch of a new direct flight route from Athens to Amsterdam. The inaugural flight took place on Sunday, November 10, 2024, and the schedule includes four weekly flights operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, further enhancing connectivity between the two cities.

The new route is serviced by SKY express’s state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo aircraft, powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines. These advanced aircraft combine cutting-edge technology with reduced environmental impact, ensuring a comfortable and exceptional travel experience for every passenger. With the youngest fleet in Greece, SKY express boasts 27 aircraft as of 2024.

By early December, the Greek airline will have integrated seven new destinations into its flight schedule (Tirana, Yerevan, Tbilisi, Istanbul, Prague, Vienna, and Amsterdam), bringing its total number of international destinations to 22. At the same time, SKY express maintains its leadership in domestic operations with the largest network of 33 destinations across Greece.

“The strategic growth of SKY express’s flight network continues with the addition of a key and popular destination, the city of Amsterdam. The Athens-Amsterdam connection reaffirms our commitment to constantly creating new connectivity opportunities with sought-after European destinations, offering affordable fares and a premium travel experience,” said Vasilis Krasanakis, Network Planning & Pricing Manager at SKY express.
