The Costas Tsoklis Museum and Melissa Publishing House announce the release from the1st of June 2022 of the work

Catalogue Raisonné

1953-2022

The collector’s edition comes in 200 numbered and signed copies.

It includes the book, which has a handmade cover (by Kostas Tsoklis), a unique Plexiglas case and a special paper case with the artist’s signature.

The publication, curated by Chrysanthi Koutsouraki, director of the Costas Tsoklis Museum, includes a conversation between Costas Tsoklis and the curator and a text by art historian Takis Mavrotas, who analyses and explains the work of one of the most important international representatives of contemporary art and covers his artistic career from 1953 to the present day.
The list is divided into two parts. The first part contains one or more of the most characteristic works of each period of his career. Thus the art lover can briefly walk along the artistic paths he followed and the paths he blazed. The second part contains images of works based on the first creations, most of which are in the possession of collectors. There is a third part of this Catalogue Raisonné, which is electronic and contains all his works that could be traced.

The 550-page book is enriched with 990 of his works. The cover of the album is essentially a multiple work of art, created by Kostas Tsoklis, who, through it, analyses the ways and materials with which the work of art is composed.

550 p., 990 illustrations, 28x28cm., hardcover binding, plexi-glass case and paper sleeve
