1st INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL OF SMALL LENGTH FESTIVAL OF EVBIA

 

SCYLLA | 30 – 31.08.2024

  The first International Short Film Festival of Evia (Euboea ISFF) will take place on the hospitable island of Skyros on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 August 2024.
At the EISFF, the film-loving public will get to know the work of local and international artists through 20 short films, mostly young, promising filmmakers from all over the world.  

EISFF comes to establish a valuable artistic cradle by activating people, artists, communities and places in a valuable dialogue of art, communication, reflection, poetry, inclusion and fruitful exchange in the wider region of Evia.
For two whole days the Primary School of Skyros will be the cinematic core of the island with free admission for the public to all EISFF activities.   The films that will be screened in the competition section have a duration of up to 25 minutes and the categories that will be awarded are: Best Film, Best Greek Film, Best Animation, Best Animation, Director, Director of Photography, Best Actress, Best Actor.
In addition to its rich film programme, the EISFF appears to be very active and promising with interesting side events.
An animation workshop for children entitled “Audiovisual Experiments” will take place during the festival, while after the end of the screenings and the awards ceremony the audience will have the opportunity to take a melodic journey with a musical performance by Alef.
The International Short Film Festival of Evia is financially supported by the Ministry of Culture, under the auspices of the Creative Greece programme.
It is held at the Primary School of Skyros in co-organization with the Cultural Development Organization of the Region of Central Greece and the Municipality of Skyros, while the main sponsor is the SNE (Skyros Shipping Company).   Watch the EISFF Video Trailer at t.ly/tUprK
