Competition Programme and Panorama of the 6th Castellorizo Beyond Borders International Documentary Festival

 

A total of 27 documentaries will be presented in the Competition Programme from 17 different countries, while 16 more documentary films will be screened at the Panorama of the 6th International Documentary Festival Castellorizo Beyond Borders that will take place(22-29 August) on our island.

For another year, the Festival’s programme includes remarkable examples of cinematic art and storytelling, dealing with events, issues and people that have influenced countries, peoples and cultures around the world.

In the framework of the competition section, the jury of the Festival ( Klaus EderSecretary General of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), Marianna Economou – President of the Greek Documentary Association, Jean-Christoph CaronDirector PHOENIX, Bruno Chatelin – Film Critic and the MaroAnastopoulou – Director) will present the awards: Best Historical Documentary, Best Social-Political Documentary and Best Short Documentary – all courtesy of Hellenic Parliament – the award Best Greek Documentary sponsored by Greek Film Centre (HCC), the Greek Film Centre (HCC), the Special Award for Mediterranean Friendship, sponsored by National Centre for Audiovisual Media (EKOME) and the Odysseus Special Prize, sponsored by General Secretariat for Hellenes Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
