Like the wine of Halkidiki, it has no…

The wine of Halkidiki has a long tradition, dating back to the 5th century BC.

There we find the strict wine (dry) and the soft wine (semi-sweet). Aristotle planted the first model vineyard in his homeland, Stagira. The wine road in Halkidiki starts from Agios Pavlos, continues to Neos Marmaras, Sithonia, the Autonomous State of Mount Athos, Arnea and ends in Marathoussa. It includes seaside resorts and lush mountain landscapes. In the ideal viticultural conditions we will find the white varieties of Malagouzia, Assyrtiko, Athirius, Roditis, Muscat of Alexandria and Sauvignon Blanc. From the reds, Limnio, Muscat of Hamburg and Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache rouge give us excellent wines. We will visit amazing wineries, Porto Karras, Tsantali, Saint Paul and Metochi Chromitsa, Mylopotamos of Mount Athos, Tzikas Estate, Klaudia Papagianni, PDO Wines, Slopes of Melitini, PGI Mount Athos and PGI Chalkidiki. Along with our wine excursions, we can visit other sights, such as the Aristotle’s Grove, the Archaeological Museum of Polygyros, the Castle of Toroni, the fir forest of Taxiarchis and of course we can make the tour of Mount Athos by boat.

Have fun!
