The strengthening and deepening of the cooperation between Greece and Qatar in the tourism sector was the main topic of the meeting between the Minister of Tourism Mrs Olga Kefalogianni and the Ambassador of Greece Mr. Ali Khalfan Al-Mansouri.

Mrs Olga Kefalogianni pointed out to the Ambassador the great opportunities that are created in Greece during this period for investment in the tourism sector and underlined that our country is one of the most popular destinations for Arab countries, a fact that is proven by the constantly increasing number of visitors to Greece.

The prospect of signing a new updated Memorandum of Understanding and the exchange of tourism know-how, as well as the promotion of air cooperation, especially in important Asian destinations, where our country has no direct air connection, in order to increase travel flows, were also considered.

Finally, the Minister’s visit to Qatar in the near future was also discussed, in the context of taking advantage of the particularly successful visit of Mr. Prime Minister’s visit to Qatar.
