Olga Kefalogiannis welcomed the official opening of the 45th International Tourism Exhibition in Belgrade

The visit of the Minister of Tourism Mrs Olga Kefalogianni to Belgrade was completed on Thursday (22/02). The aim of the visit was to visit the (International Tourism Fair), in which Greece this year holds the honorary title of “Partner County”.

During her address at the opening of the exhibition, Mrs Kefalogianni referred to Greece’s objectives and strategy for sustainable tourism development. He also noted that Greece and Serbia are linked by strong ties based on mutual understanding and common goals. Concluding, the Minister stressed that “we are grateful for the strong support of our Serbian friends in Greek tourism and we look forward to welcoming them to all the beautiful regions of our country for another year. We believe that Greece and Serbia share a common vision for the future of tourism. By combining forces and exploiting our comparative advantages, we can create new opportunities for cooperation, innovation and growth.”

 

The Minister of Tourism also had an official bilateral meeting with her Serbian counterpart Husein Memić. As the Minister noted, “We had a very productive meeting with my Serbian counterpart, Mr.Husein Memić. We focused on the qualitative characteristics of the tourist flow between the two countries and we committed ourselves to providing expertise and to starting a period of systematic and targeted cooperation in the near future.”
