The Muscovy

A variety very widespread in viticulture. It is mainly cultivated in Ilia, Arcadia, Messinia and Laconia, as well as in other areas of the Peloponnese and the Ionian Islands. In Madinia gives us PDO wine. It is a reddish-pink variety that usually produces white wines, but also rosé, gris de noir, sparkling and dessert wines. It gives us intense aromas of citrus and flowers, fresh herbs and white-fleshed fruits, wines with characteristic high acidity, light medium body and low alcohol content. It gives interesting wines when combined with varieties such as Roditis, Chardonnay, Savatiano and Gewürztraminer. Finally, we can harmoniously accompany it with appetizers, Greek appetizers, salads, vegetarian pies, fresh fatty cheeses, greens, fish and poultry.


The variety Agiorgitiko (or Mavro Nemea) One of the most characteristic Greek red varieties. It is mainly found in the Peloponnese, where in Nemea it produces PDO wines (15,000 acres of cultivation), but also in Thessaly, Evia and Sterea Greece. It is a charismatic variety and gives us wines that are distinguished by fruit aromas such as strawberry, cherry, sour cherry, blackberry and sweet spices such as cinnamon and cloves. Medium body and mild, sweet tannins while it can be aged for a long time and gives complex, velvety wines. It harmoniously combines meats, yellow spicy cheeses, pizzas, meat pies, pasta with spicy sauces.
