IKEA meatballs are celebrating!

From 23 to 28 August, IKEA welcomes children and adults at its stores with many surprises and great prizes!

Η IKEA, a company of FOURLIS Group, on the occasion of the Swedish Meatball Day (23 August), invites the public to its stores around Greece from 23 to 28 August*, in a week of celebration with great competitions, rich IKEA gifts, a tasting of the great variety of meatballs and many more surprises.

The well-known Swedish meatballs first appeared in a cookbook in 1754 and are a symbol of Swedish culinary heritage. IKEA restaurants started serving them in 1985, and now a billion meatballs of all kinds (classic, chicken, vegetable and plant balls) are served every year around the world.

Swedish meatballs were introduced to the Greek public in 2001, the year IKEA came to Greece, and since then more than 5.5 million portions of meatballs have been sold in the company’s restaurants, making meatballs the most popular dish on IKEA’s menu.

On the occasion of the Swedish Meatball Day, IKEA invites you to celebrate with them for one week in the stores, taste the whole range of meatballs, claim IKEA gift cards, kitchenware and other rich prizes through in-store competitions and find all the unique offers in the IKEA Swedish Food and Restaurant Store.
