We travel… Of course

Holidays in the city or in the village, in the sea or in the mountains, in the Aegean islands, by car or by bus. It doesn’t matter how we choose to move and where we go as long as we do it safely.

We pack our bags and don’t forget two basic things:
– the “holiday pharmacy” and
– the basic known rules of protection against coronavirus As every summer, we make sure to carry some medicinal products with us just in case. Because there is not only the coronavirus but also mosquitoes and we may have some allergies and as the wise people say “keep your clothes on…”

So we adapt our “pharmacy” to our own needs and do not forget the basics:
– mosquito repellents and creams for insect bites,
– painkillers and antipyretics,
– thermometer,
– adhesive patches (band-aids),
– tweezers for removing spikes or insect stingers,
– Electrolyte sachets to dissolve in a glass of water in cases of diarrhoea or dehydration,
– Dramamine (for those who travel by boat),
– antihistamines in case of an allergic reaction,
– cream for burns,
– saline ampoules and, necessarily, antiseptics, but not too many as there are individual packages or antiseptic devices on buses, hotels, restaurants, archaeological sites, etc.

On buses…we say “yes”

We don’t worry about the buses as we wear our masks and travel with the windows open and where they are not open, the air recirculation is turned off, so the air conditioning is constantly supplied with fresh air.

We are staying… hotel

Hotels are required by law to comply with all necessary measures for the treatment of coronavirus and to carry the special Health First label. So, this year, don’t expect them to change our towels and sheets or clean our room every day. We should ask the reception and only when necessary. However, our room will be aired daily by the floor service and we will be able to have free room service (luxury!) for breakfast or any other meal we want. We don’t forget our mask in the elevator!

We have fun… from afar

We can freely dive in the crystal clear waters of the Greek seas and have fun until dawn in summer bars, nightclubs and summer cinemas. We won’t change the way we have fun but this year we are keeping our distance.

This summer we will enjoy the sea and the sun, the green nature, with lakes, rivers and mountains, with clean hands and the freedom of movement that the distance of two meters from others allows us.
