KYMCO AGILITY S 125: The city has a new protagonist

BY YANNIS-MARIOS PAPADOPOULOS

Kymco has decided to expand its leading role in urban mobility and introduces the new Agility S series with Euro5 specifications, starting with the 125cc version.

Kymco’s move is perfectly targeted, as the new Agility S 125 is also aimed at car drivers. The possibility that now exists in our country, to be able to ride 125cc two-wheelers with a car license, gives the easy solution for immediate acquisition to a really huge audience.

This same public, however, is even more demanding, seeking something special, something that perfectly meets their utilitarian needs, something that does not leave the eyes of passers-by indifferent, a model with character and a beautiful timeless appearance.

The redesign is complete and exudes sporty characteristics, which is directly identified by the letter “S” in the model name. The lighting is full LED, with the new headlamp featuring DRL (daytime running lights) technology and flanked by completely redesigned plastic parts, turn signals and gelatine. The whole design gives off a more sporty image, with new aerodynamics specially designed to direct the airflow away from the driver. The instruments are new and absolutely modern, indicating a premium class scooter. The high-resolution dual LCD screen is visible in all outdoor lighting conditions and features everything from a voltmeter to a tachometer(!), with numerous indicator lights located at the top for easy reading while driving.

Thanks to the combination of 16-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels, the rider enjoys incredible manoeuvrability, top road handling and a high degree of active safety. The braking system with disc brakes on each wheel features a combined braking system (CBS) and the wheels have been given new and lighter split-spoke wheels with an exclusive design. The suspension is also new, with a 37mm telescopic fork and adjustable shock absorbers.

The space under the saddle is spacious and very usable, thanks to the presence of two removable partition panels and a 12V power socket, while it can easily accommodate a helmet.

The Euro5 engine features electronic fuel injection in the power train and has been optimised in terms of efficiency and fuel consumption through significant improvements to its mechanical parts and CVT transmission. The horsepower has been increased to 10.6 hp, while the factory guarantees low fuel consumption, which – in combination with the 7-litre fuel tank – offers a range that can reach 300 kilometres in ideal conditions!

The Agility S 125i E5 is available for 2,795 euros in three colours: petrol/Blue, Golden Grey and Graphite Matt. Like every Kymco model, it is covered by a two-year factory warranty with no mileage limitation.
