Marketing Greece and Ikos Resorts highlight the cultural identity of Corfu and create a new attractive narrative

 

Marketing Greece and Ikos Resorts joined forces, once again, and presented on Thursday 21 September 2023 a series of actions for Corfu, putting the cultural identity of the destination at the centre.

With the aim of enhancing the sustainable development of Corfu, the new actions deepen the travel experience of the destination and utilizing modern trends and technology, a modern and original audio content is created, which is freely available for use to the entire tourist community of Corfu.

During the event, which took place at the Museum of Asian Art of Corfu, Nikos Diamantopoulos, General Manager of Marketing Greece presented the audio content that has been created.

Three (3) Travel Podcasts and one (1) Self Guided Walking Tour will guide the visitor through stories of the island’s culture and tradition, offering another way to get to know the destination in depth:

It should be noted that the music of the two podcasts above is composed by the conductor Spyros Prosoparis and performed by the Corfu Philharmonic Society.

The
Self Guided Walking Tour
, where through 27 points of interest the visitor discovers the Old Town of Corfu by walking and has the opportunity to get in touch with the landmarks of the destination by listening to the story behind the attraction, with less popular attractions that are a great cultural reserve of the place, with local shops that…whet the appetite, with local traditions and customs of the destination and with the history of important personalities associated with the destination. The Self Guided Walking Tour is available in Greek, English, German and is hosted on the Clio Muse Tours platform.
