IN THE VINEYARDS OF GREECE

Summer is almost here and we are ready to travel and discover new destinations and experiences.

Wherever we are in Greece, we can find beautiful picturesque wineries, estates, but also larger wineries that we can visit, knowing
the wonderful world of wine and its people.

So for those of us who visit Northern Greece, many wine delights await us.

With dominant varieties of Xinomavro, Negoska, Moschomavro, Limnio, Assyrtiko, Athiri, Roditis, but also the international Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, grenache rouge, we are welcomed by Macedonia and Thrace with the individual regions of Naoussa (Niausta), Goumenisa, Amyndeon, Siatista, Halkidiki and the neighbouring regions, such as
Drama, Epanomi, Mount Athos, slopes of Vertiskos, Grevena and N. Meridiembria to give us excellent wines.

We continue with Epirus, where Zitsa with the native variety Debina, Vlachiko and Bekari (dry, semi-sparkling and sparkling wines are produced here) and Metsovo where we mainly find the international variety Cabernet Sauvignon.Next stop is Thessaly with four wine-producing regions, Rapsani,
with varieties Xinomavro Krasato and Stavroto, Anchialos with varieties Roditis, Savatiano and Sifiotis, Karditsa with Muscat of Hamburg, Batiki, Razaki, Savatiano and the red Mesenikola and finally Tirnavos with varieties of Muscat of Hamburg, Roditis, Savvatiano, Batiki The first stop on the wine routes of Northern Greece is the wine route of the Gods of Olympus with the wineries Katsarou, Dugou, Tsantalis, the wine route of Epirus with the Averoff estate, the Glinavos estate, the
Zoinos winery, the wine route of the lakes with the E.A.S. Amyndeon, Alpha Estate, Vogiatzi Estate, Zande Estate, Kir-Yianni, Pavlou Estate, Stergios Estate, Maggel Estate, the two-friends, the wine route of Naoussa with Boutari Winery, Dalamaras Estate, Kir-Yianni, Chrysochou Estate, Founti Estate, Argatia, A.A.O.S.
