The leading international event “R&R Hospitality Forum” for 3 years in Athens

With the collaboration of Enterprise Greece, GNTO and the Greek Tourism Organisation

The holding of the leading international event Resort &Residential Hospitality Forum” (R&R) for the next three years in Athens, was announced today jointly by the President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH) MR. Alexander Vasilikos, the CEO of Enterprise Greece MR. Marinos Giannopoulos and the Secretary General of the Greek National Tourism Organisation MR. Dimitris Fragakis.

It is underlined that the three institutions are working together in order to host one of the biggest international events in the field of hospitality, which until 2023 was held in Portugal, for three years. It is noted that “R&R” has established itself as a prestigious conference institution with the participation of global market leaders and as a platform for unique networking opportunities among all hospitality stakeholders.

Organizer is the company Questex, a leader in global events in the hospitality sector, which is also the strategic partner of the GNH for the organization of the 7th International Hospitality Forum under the title ” Greek Hotels: The Next Day” to be held, on Saturday 10 February 2024, at METROPOLITAN EXPO, in parallel with the exhibition HORECA.

In particular, the proceedings of the 7th International Hospitality Forum include two thematic panels:

  • “Opportunities and Risks in the Era of Branding, Management, and Franchise”

(“Opportunities and Risks in the Age of Branding, Management and Franchise“.)

The panel will map the new demanding reality that is taking shape in the hotel industry, through the intense international investment interest and the placements of major brands and chains in Greece.

  • “Generational Change and Wealth Management”

(“Generation Change and Asset Management”)

The panel will analyse the challenges that are emerging as Greek tourism reaches maturity. The pioneering hoteliers of the previous decades who laid the foundations of Greek tourism are leaving and the baton of business management is being passed on to second or third generations.

It should be noted that from next year the International Hospitality Forum will be a separate section of the “Resort & Residential Hospitality Forum” in Athens.

Ο President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels Mr. Alexander Vasilikos stated that :

“In the global competition and the great challenges of the current economic situation, knowledge is a strength for Greek hotels. The fundamental mission of the Hotel Association is to ensure that all our members have direct access to knowledge, experience and good practices that are crucial to their business decisions. The International Hospitality Forum has been serving this mission with great success for the past seven years. However, successes do not make us complacent and we are raising the bar even higher. We have succeeded in bringing the leading international event “Resort & Residential Hospitality Forum” (R&R) to Greece. For three years Athens will be at the centre of the dialogue on all trends and developments in the international market, providing Greek hoteliers with the privilege of timely and accurate information about them.”

Ο Secretary General of EOT Mr. Dimitris Fragakis stressed that: “It is extremely important to organize top-level international conferences in Greece, given that these initiatives are a legacy for the advent of extroversion and cooperativeness in Greek tourism, which is in the DNA the EOT. In this context, the Greek National Tourism Organisation will also present a wide range of partnerships with airlines and Tour Operators. We continue our efforts as EOT to maintain high demand for Greece and to do even better in 2024″.

The CEO ofEnterprise Greece Mr. Marinos Giannopoulos stated that :
